The results of Wild Card Entries of Indian Idol 3 telecast on SET Asia are out. The 12^th contestant of Indian Idol 3 was selected by the viewers by giving their presious votes. Zayed Khan who was the guest on Friday night announced the name of the twelth contestant as "Amit Paul". All welcomed Amit as he joined the other eleven contestants. On Saturday night the show started off by showing the judges deciding on whom to select between the three contestants left. Anu Mallik mentioned that suhit is a good performer but Ankita is a better singer. Udit supported Padmanav by saying that he is better than Ankita. Alisha's choice was suhit. Javed Akthar said that both singing as well as performance is equally important.  After some secret discussions the judges decided on one contestant.

The hosts of Indian Idol 3 Mini and Suhit called the three participants Suhit, Ankita and Padmanav on stage and asked the judges about their decision. Javed Akthar said that it was a very difficult task for them to choose one among the three and finally they chose Ankita Mishra as the lucky thirteenth. Padmanav and Suhit were asked to say something before they leave, to that Padmanav said that they have got a lot from Indian Idol and above all he got to make many friends and Suhit was one among them and they both used to say to each other that one would not leave before the other.

The guest who came for SET Asia's Indian idol 3 on Saturday night was Sunidhi Chauhan, she started by singing the song "Crazy Kiya Re". She rocked on stage by performing the song "Beedi Jalyle" along with all the female contestants. Smita, Charu, Puja and Ankita performed on the song "Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu". Meyang Chang, parleen and Emon performed "Ena Meena Deeka" in bell bottoms. Then the boys and girls were paired up, Abhishek Kumar with Jolly Das, Prashant Tamang with Deepali and Amit Paul with Richa for "Aaj kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche". After that all the boys came together and sang "Aao Twist Karen" and the girls followed by singing ‘Samjho Isharey'. Annu and Alisha couldn't stop themselves from joining the twist. Udit said ‘Koi Kisi se Kum Nahi'. Annu Mallik confessed that the contestants of Indian Idol 3 are the best.

Towards the end of the show Hussain announced that the much awaited Gala round of Indian Idol 3 will begin from June 29^th. Sunidhi came on stage again and sang ‘Sajna Ji Vari Vari', all the 13 contestants joined her in dance and song. Indian Idol 3 telecast on SET Asia is a show that offers distinctive and breakthrough entertainment. The fate of the top 4 Wild Card contestants of Indian Idol 3 is about to be decided as the results of the viewer's poll is in. But the judges need some more time for choosing their favourite contestant in the mean time the contestants performed a medley of songs. Richa and Jolly performed on Main Sadke Jawaan number and Smita and Deepali followed them with Baras Jaa Ae Baadal Baras Jaa and then Prashant and Parleen gave a wonderful rendition of Chain Kulli Ki Main Kulli.

The tension mounts as the wait isn't over yet for the names of the the two lucky contestants.A laugh riot followed with the performance of Emon, Pooja and Abhishek with their version of Ek Chatur Naar Kar Ke Singaar. Emon sang Jaanu Ke Jaanu Naa by mimicking Annu Malek's voice to which Javed commented that "Annu sings well in the voice of Emon". Abhishek caught the attention of Udit Narayan with the song chand chupa baadal main. Udit joined the boys on stage with his tacky Kintu Parantu Bandhu comments. At the beginning of the show on Saturday night Mini and Hussain gave some information about how the judges chose the seven wild card entries from the contestants who got eliminated in the Piano Round of Indian Idol 3 and how the 7 people fought by giving their best performance. The hosts announced the top 4 out of 7 and those four selected contestants performed again on the stage.

The top 4 contestants of Indian Idol 3 who got selected are Amit, Ankita, Padmanav and Suhit. Amit sang ‘Chal Chale', he started off good but forgot the lyrics when he came towards the second verse of the song. Amit explained that he was depressed at the elimination of Bhavin and got messed up because of it. Ankita sang ‘Kaise Paheli' with great pomp and with amazing expressions on her face. Padmanv gave an excellent performance by singing ‘Ma tuje salam'. Upnext was Suhit Gosain, he sang ‘Tu Aashiqui Hain' and Alisha and Annu praised him but Javed Akthar told him that his singing was flat and that he is helpless. Udit said that his performance was better than the previous one.

At the end of the show on June 9, 2007 eleven participants were selected. The show began with the entrance of a new girl. Everyone was wondering as Mini revealed her name ‘Jolly Das', she was one of the finalist who couldn't participate in the finals of Indian Idol 2 as as she was down with chicken pox. The judges welcomed her as she sang Barso re megha from the film Guru.
 
From the performance of the girls the judges were asked to name the contestant whom they thought will be out. Alisha thought Smita will be out but Annu, Udit and Javed thought Richa will have to go as her voice has not fully matured. Mini announced the result- she declared Deepali, Richa, Charu, Smita and Pujja to be safe unfortunately Ankita couldn't make it. Ankita was asked to sing for one last time before going by Alisha. Javed came up to the stage and danced to Ankita's tunes as she sang Main sirf tera mehboob tu meri mehbooba. Seeing Ankita's high spirits Javed said "Aaj Yeh ladki jeet gayi, main haar gaya"
 
Now about the boys results, as usual the judges were asked for their opinion on whom they thought should go. Alisha's answer was Prashant, Annu thought Abhishek wasn't that good. Suhit was the choice of javed and Udit. Hussain declared that Emon, Chang, Parleen, Prashant and Abhishek are safe. Suhit was voted out. Suhit was so depressed that he couldn't sing when he was asked to sing a song.
 
At the end of the episode the hosts Mini and Hussain were saying that the next Indian Idol is on the stage, to that Javed replied it might be so but two wild card entries will be done. The judges will choose 6 contestants from the piano round who will sing next week. The audience will have to choose two people among them by giving your valuable votes. The Piano Round of Indian Idol 3 will be telecast live from June 1, 2007 to June 9, 2007 on Sony Entertainment Television Asia at 9:00pm. The viewers have to vote for their favourite contestant, the voting lines will open from 9.00 pm on June 1, 2007 and close at 8:00 am on June 2, 2007 and so on for each episode.

In the Piano Round of "Indian Idol 3"  telecast on Sony Entertainment Television Asia top ten contestants will be selected from the 28 people chosen by the judges. For the Piano Round 14 girls and 14 boys will perform on alternate days and the contestant with the lowest vote have to leave the show.

There are some really talented and confident contestants from across India and even overseas participating in Indian Idol 3. The judges have done their part of the job and will continue to voice their opinions, but the ultimate decision on who the Indian Idol is will be based on the precious votes cast by the viewers.
